Spring Enrichment Tour
Hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.,
Alpha Epsilon Lambda Chapter
We are delighted to announce the support provided by the K D Mack Foundation for an upcoming College Enrichment Tour organized by the Alpha Esquires, a mentoring group affiliated with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The K D Mack Foundation, known for its commitment to improving dementia and schizophrenia health services, also places significant emphasis on fostering entrepreneurial skills that contribute to income generation, enhanced opportunities, and economic growth. This aligns perfectly with the mission of the spring break initiative.
The Alpha Epsilon Lambda Esquires are thrilled to present a transformative 3-day College Enrichment Tour taking place in Montgomery, Alabama. This tour promises an enriching experience for all participants involved. Throughout the program, the esquires will have the unique opportunity to visit esteemed universities, explore the profound history of civil rights, and engage in meaningful discussions on entrepreneurship and professional development. This immersive experience aims to broaden their horizons, nurture personal growth, and ignite a profound passion for education and future career paths.
The tour includes visits to notable institutions such as Alabama State University, Auburn University, Miles College, and Tuskegee University. Additionally, participants will have the chance to visit the Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit law office founded by Bryan Stevenson in 1989. The initiative provides legal representation for clients facing death sentences or life imprisonment, challenges inhumane conditions of confinement, and works tirelessly to expose racial bias within the criminal legal system.
To ensure that every young man has the opportunity to participate, the K D Mack Foundation is committed to assisting with fundraising efforts. Collaborating with parents of the participants, the foundation aims to help each family establish their own fundraising portal, which can be easily shared with friends and relatives to raise the necessary funds for attending this remarkable 3-day event. As an incentive, the participant who raises the highest amount of funds through the program will receive 50% of the funds raised in the form of a gift card, while the second-highest fundraiser will receive 25%.
We kindly request your support in our endeavor to enable these young men to embark on this invaluable spring break enrichment tour.
