The K D Mack Foundation is pleased to announce the opportunity for high school seniors in Jackson, Mississippi, and surrounding areas to apply for our scholarship program. We are offering two scholarships of up to $1000 to support students in pursuing their higher education at any Technical College, Community College, or University in Mississippi.

• Applicant must be a high school senior in Jackson, Mississippi, or surrounding areas.
• Applicant must be planning to attend a Technical College, Community College, or University in Mississippi.
• Application must be submitted by May 31, 2024.
  

Applicants are required to submit an essay on the topic of

"Promoting Mental Wellness and Resilience in High School Students." 

In your essay, focus on strategies and initiatives aimed at promoting mental wellness and resilience among high school students. Explore programs, activities, or resources that schools can implement to help students develop coping skills, build resilience, and maintain good mental health throughout their high school years and beyond.

The scholarships will be awarded on Saturday, June 15, 2024, during the Boys to Men Breakfast Retreat Gamma Edition event at the Boys and Girls Club - Capital Unit, located at 1450 W. Capitol Street, Jackson, MS 39203.
